Alcohol policy: The signed rental agreement event organizer is responsible for obtaining a Virginia ABC Banquet License and abiding by Virginia ABC laws. The American Legion asks that alcohol consumption is NOT excessive or damaging.

Amenities (available upon request): Changing room for brides, big screen TV, portable PA system, tables & chairs (limited), kitchen, serving bar (must obtain ABC license & drinks), and coolers. Food options: Post 354 does not offer meal support, but a kitchen is available for small venues. Mission BBQ is a huge Veteran supporter, but you may choose any catering or food truck vendors.  

Discounts: American Legion Post 354 offers discounts to members, veterans, and law enforcement. To learn more about the discount policies or submit a request, go to the bottom of the price list.

Event coordinator: Post 354 does not provide a day of coordinator. However, Layne Special Event Rentals may be able to assist. For public events, arrange shuttle service from the James High School parking lot, event staff, tents & table decor, food & beverages, ABC license, and port-a-potties.

Fishing policy: A fishing license is required for everyone to fish while at the American Legion Post 354. 

Rental process: Review calendar availability and request date(s) using the online reservation form. Calendar will show available for booking, and requests are not guaranteed until the security deposit is received. Bookings are honored on a first-payment first-reserve basis. Please include the rental agreement along with the payment.

Seating capacity: About 70 people can sit indoors and more outdoors, weather permitting. There are two large outdoor pavilions with 37 6-person picnic tables and room for rental tents from local vendors. 

Tour the facility: Arrange a meeting with a representative by emailing Post354rentals@gmail.com. Representatives schedule appointments with prospective renters on Wednesdays between 11 a.m. and noon. The First Wednesday of the month is between 5-6 p.m., and the third Thursday, between 6-7 p.m.
